Your hometown and your favourite things about it?I am from Canberra, Australia but I am currently living in Bangkok, Thailand. These two places couldn't be more different in many ways. Canberra is a place of many rules and regulations, while Bangkok can seem quite out of control and chaotic at times. I'll tell you about Bangkok because that is where I am now. Some of my favourite things about Bangkok are that there are people everywhere day and night, it makes it difficult to feel lonely; The friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic people; The numerous, amazing sprawling markets; The cooler months of November-February; Nighttime, Bangkok really is at it's best by night; Boat rides on or dining by the Chao Phraya River; The sounds and smells of the street (ok not all the smells); Thai massage; Great food.

What do you enjoy most about making your products? Where do you draw your inspiration from?I enjoy the ideas/concept part of the process and then seeing the finished product and how it fits within my existing range. I enjoy trawling fabric stores and markets looking for potential. Inspiration comes from materials and their potential, everyday life (only when I am in an open enough frame of mind to let them in) and from looking at interior design magazines, blogs and design websites.
How long does it take to make one of your creations? It doesn't take long to actually make up a cushion or napkin, about 30 minutes. I do spend a lot of time though mulling over ideas and matching fabric samples together. Also, thinking about how to best utilise a pattern and developing the product concept.
I am currently working on a range of napkin and placemat concepts, screen printed in graphic patterns. This is quite a different process, the concept stages are taking me a long time. I usually work with pen on paper and then scan the drawing into Illustrator to finalise the pattern. Once the design is finished I have a screen made and then it's time to select colour schemes and fabric.
In your words, what makes your products unique? The fabrics I use are not widely available or are usually only available to Interior Designers and ‘the industry'. Because I am based in Bangkok I am able to source great fabrics at affordable prices.
