During our travels, we came across some amazing people. For various reasons (mostly language barriers!) we may not always be able to obtain detailed information about the artist but we ensure that we maintain the standard of buying products that are locally made or unique to that place or country. We do this by visiting co-op studios, artists galleries, art and craft exhibitions, tourist offices, locals shops, stockists and of course, MARKETS!. Anywhere we sense an opportunity to add to the nest, we fly to and explore..... tweet.

Kenilworth, Australia
Kenilworth, Australia
Kenilworth is a small town, population about 300, in the upper Mary Valley area of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. It sits in a rural area, about 50km from the coast, with dairy farming as the major industry.
There are two wineries to visit and a cheese factory - we spent a bit of time here tasting some of the delicious locally made cheese - coriander and chilli was our fave, very, very yummy. We bought some locally made passionfruit yoghurt and mustard, iand of course lots of cheese, all in all a very satisfying stop.
We also managed to stumble across a little craft co-op where we sourced some local crafters.
