St Pons-de-Thomiere, France
This is a town we just happened to be passing through while we were meandering through the South of France. Like all towns in the South of France, the town was pictureseque and very lovely but what really caught our eye were the handmade goodies staring at us from the window of an interesting looking building which turned out to be the local tourist office (thanks to David for the great spotting).
We were very excited to find that this particular tourist office stocked unique products all made my local artists, and the lady running the office was also a local artist and was extremely passionate about local, handmade products.
Travellers Tip: David and I both used the public amenities following our purchases (probably we were so excited about what we had just bought). The bathrooms were actually not too bad for public toilets but it reminded me about the importance of bringing your own toilet paper when you are on the road. I had some with me and it made the whole experience a lot more pleasant!
