What do you enjoy most about making your products? Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Designing from the heart. Having control of the thinking process and enjoying every little step that leads you to the finished product. All my designs are created around a deeply felt interpretation of nature.
How long does it take to make one of your creations?
It takes approximately 2-3 months for each new design to surface. I start with the simple step of observing details around me. I then illustrate and fine tune the artwork. It is hard sometimes to decide on the colour palettes as I tend to have a preference for unpopular colours such as yellows and aquas. I find myself asking friends and buyers their opinion and then fine tune the colour scheme.
In your words, what makes your products unique?
The concept of screen printing on fine cotton tights is very unique and the designs are original and contemporary. But what is very unique about Tightology is our ability to create ethical and sustainable fashion that has impressed so many.
