Your hometown?
My hometown is Melbourne, Victoria. I have always lived here but have also traveled to many cities around the world. What I find so appealing about this place is that everything is at my fingertips, I know were to get a great coffee and beautiful lunch and an exotic dinner, not to mention a fabulous brunch. There are still many individually owned businesses and a feeling of community.
Favourite type of food?
I'm very lucky were I live in Yarraville I can choose between real Italian pizza, stunning Cambodian, Thai, tapas, Indian, and award winning meat pies!!!
Favourite Restaurant?
At the moment my favorite restaurant is the Corner Store on Ballarat St in Yarraville, just opposite the cinema. It has a courtyard and feels really cozy. I can get a fantastic soy latte and baked eggs for breakfast, refreshing feta salad or the mouthwatering dinners that are to share. Mmmmm.
Favourite Market?
I have done a few markets and I really love the Rose St market were you can find me every Saturday. The stallholders are lovely and are the actual makers of what they are selling!!!
Favourite place to travel to?
I love to go the beach with my partner. We drive down the great ocean road were he goes diving and read my book and have a splash!!
Dream travel destination?
I work very hard at what I do and am very much looking forward to my holiday in Thailand in February. It has some great markets, beaches, diving and snorkeling.
What do you enjoy most about making your products?
I make what I would wear myself. I get a real kick out of selling something I love and I have made. The simple beauty in the world, the joy of making and playing inspires me.
How long does it take to make one of your creations?
I spend 3 days a week in my studio making. Every second week I use the third day doing paper work, sourcing material, restocking shops or finding new shops to stock. Then I spend one day a week at the market. I like to have one day off where my partner I and do something together all day. This day is really important. I work really hard doing what I love but I never want to get bitter about what I do. A day off is bliss.

When Andy got a job offer in Amsterdam, Katrina and he moved and are living there ever since ... for former graphic designer this was the perfect timing to make her dream come true and start her own business making pillows, bags, babyclothes, soft toys and more from vintage fabrics.
Soon Katrins's business started growing and she asked Andy to join her full-time, so he gave up his day-time job! Katrina sells her terrific handmade goodies at some of the best markets in Amsterdam, like the Noordermarkt.

I am a born and bred Melbourne girl. I recently moved from the Western suburbs to the Eastern suburbs so I am still getting to know my way around and discover new shops and places. What I love about living in Melbourne is that you can be so close to the city but you only have to drive a short distance in any direction and have a complete change of landscape. Living in Ringwood it only takes 20mins to escape the concrete and be in a beautiful bush landscape like the Dandenong ranges or Healesville.
Favourite food?
Oh where to start! I adore food; it is one of life's ultimate pleasures. I love simple home-cooked meals and have recently started eating red meat again so I have a whole range of new food to enjoy now.
Favourite restaurant?
I love the ‘Firehouse' on the Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood. I order from the tapas menu which is great because you get to taste a little bit of everything. The calamari is superb and the lamb meatballs are to die for. The setting is also beautiful, as the name suggests the building was an old fire station. Also ‘FUJI' teppanyaki in Moonee Ponds. It's an entertaining meal and great as a social gathering also.
Favourite recipe?
Whilst I love to eat I'm not so great on the cooking side of things. I'm learning to cook but I haven't had too much success to date.
Favourite market?
I love the Flemington racecourse market. Not only have I had a stall there for the past 4 years, I find the people so friendly and the stallholders around me have become great friends. The market itself has a great range of products and food, the setting is beautiful and when the weather is behaving itself it is lovely to just stroll around admiring the clever stallholders work.
Favourite travel destination?
Hands down AFRICA. I travelled around Southern Africa 3 years ago and have been busting to go back ever since. Hopefully next time I can go and see the Gorillas in Rwanda and Uganda and visit Tanzania as well. I loved the people and the landscapes and of course the wild animals. It was extremely inspiring and I am currently working on a jewellery collection inspired by my trip to Africa to hopefully showcase in my first solo exhibition.
Dream travel destination?
I would love to go to New York for a white Christmas. Watching movies that have been set in New York around Christmas time has cemented my desire to go and see it in real life.
What do you enjoy most about making your products? Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I love the spontaneity of just playing around with metal and gemstones and letting the materials alone dictate the design. Some of my best designs have evolved at the bench through mistakes I have made and things that have not gone to plan. I get really excited when an idea just pops into my head or when I find an amazing gemstone to work with. I am inspired a lot by nature and my surroundings and often by the materials that I am working with.
How long does it take to make one of your creations? Anything interesting about the process that you would like to mention?
My market stock I could make in my sleep but the one-of-a-kind and commissioned designs take a bit more effort. I very rarely sit down and make a piece from start to finish. I usually end up working on about 4 or 5 pieces at once. I like the challenge of working with a client on their design as it's not just about what I like, you have to include them in the design process and work towards a finished piece that they adore.
In your words, what makes your products unique?
My strength as a designer is that I am versatile. I don't have a distinguishable design element or theme that connects all of my pieces, I prefer to design random pieces and experiment with different styles, metals, and textures. This keeps things more interesting for me and doesn't restrict me to a particular style of work. I have ready to wear pieces that are inexpensive (market stock), lots of one-of-a-kind pieces and I can make to order.

I live in the suburb of Győr, in a house (with garden). My favourite thing about my hometown is the Barokk Downtown of Győr.
Favourite food?
I have lots of favourite food, I love cooking and at the moment I am writing a Cook Book.
Favourite restaurant?
I do not go to restraurants, I invite people to my house and I cook for them.
Favourite recipe?
Any recipe which has food made from wild meats as an ingredient.
Favourite travel destination?
I travel rarely, however my favorite place to travel to is Italy.
What do you enjoy most about producing your art? How long does the process take?
I enjoy the creative process because it ends with expressing what I have to say in the form of picture. It takes different amounts of time to make different type of pictures. Copper engraving has a very difficult and complicated process and entails drawing backwards on a copperplate.
In your words what makes your work unique?
I give my unique craftmanship to my pictures. They can be colourful and they express my thoughts in picture form. What I do in Hungary is fairly rare: I paint, copper engrave, sculpture and teach art and I have a private gallery in the downtown area.
